Shego Band
Led by singer and composer Shego Said, the Shego Band is a culmination of a long voyage through various music cultures that he has experienced since Shego first began playing the guitar in his hometown of Brava, Somalia. Between 1980 and 1988, Shego and his brother Said, lived in many different places, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United States and on to Toronto, Canada in 1991. The brothers performed with many popular Somali singers before forming their own group, the Shego Band.
